Top Ten Cultural Events

MAC - The Museum & Arts Center is Sequim's cultural history and art museum. The ALL VOLUNTEER non-profit organization owns and operates three Sequim-based facilities—the historic Dungeness Schoolhouse, Exhibit Center, and DeWitt Administration Center.

Makah Museum - The Makah Cultural and Research Center includes the world renowned Makah Museum, as well as the Museum store, Makah Language Program, Archives and Library Department, Makah Education Department, and Tribal Historic Preservation Office.

Port Townsend Aero Museum -  The Port Townsend Aero Museum preserves aviation history in the Pacific Northwest. Located 45 miles northwest of Seattle, flanked by the Olympic Mountains and the Puget Sound, the museum contributes to a vibrant community.

Dungeness River Audobon Center - The Dungeness River Audubon Center's mission is to inspire understanding, enjoyment and stewardship of the Olympic Peninsula's unique natural and cultural resources, with emphasis on birds, rivers, fish, and people.

Fort Worden Park / Military Museum - The Puget Sound Coast Artillery Museum is located in Fort Worden State Park in Port Townsend Washington. Fort Worden is one of three forts comprising the Triangle of Fire which controlled ship access to Puget Sound. Construction at Fort Worden started in 1898 with the first guns manned in 1902 and the majority of the structures on the Fort predate WWI.

Old Fort Townsend Park - This 367-acre marine camping park features 3,960 feet of saltwater shoreline on Port Townsend Bay. The heavily wooded park has a rich military history dating from pioneer days.

Wooden Boat Foundation - Founded in 1978 after the first Wooden Boat Festival in North America, WBF joined with Northwest Maritime Center in 2005. See our expanding programs and new facilities, now open at the intersection of historic downtown & Pt Hudson marina in PT!

Rothshcild House Museum - The Rothschild House is located on the bluff at the corner of Franklin and Taylor Streets. Admission is $4 for adults and $1 for children 3-12. Group rates are available by prior arrangement by calling 360-385-1003. Admission is free for JCHS members and on the first Saturday of each month for Jefferson County residents.

Centrum Music Festivals - This summer-long lineup of concerts and workshops is held at Fort Worden State Park, a 19th-century army base near Port Townsend. 360-385–3102.
